  1. Your calmness over your move is very creditable, which we would not be able to match, so we will certainly not be moving. You are right not to go back to your old house. You have moved on, and the new owners can do whatever they want with it. I had long moved on from my school days, with just one friend from junior school and one from senior school. Until a class mate proposed a reunion. I will go, if it can be arranged, but I am not enthusiastic about it. I remember when we went on holiday to Scotland, and my father wanted to go to a castle where he had been stationed when on National Service. It was not marked on the map or signposted, and when we got there we found out why. There had been a fire, and large trees were growing out of the former windows of the complete ruin. Sometimes it is a mistake to go back, but you may only appreciate that after you have done so.
