I also love places by the sea, although I lack your contemplative approach. As the end of your podcast indicates, the sounds are very much part of the experience, along with the smells. There is so much variety at the sea – cliffs, beaches, marshes, etc. Have you heard John Cooper Clarke’s “Nation’s Ode to The Coast”? Ukraine could indeed have done with a Northern coast.
