I like the personal touch and the lines of unequal length. You should do more poetry.
I enjoyed this Ant. A poet myself, I recognise that search for the inspiring thought or image which will spark a new piece of work. I like your use of rhyme and rhythm ( so often overlooked nowadays) and some of the images you find: the bank that loans out the ideas of Kant and Aristotle; ideas as children running wild ( some good, some bad, some probably indifferent). It’s a very hopeful piece, telling us to keep on believing, to keep on trying, and something will turn up. Thank you for that.
