I’m glad you came out of the week relatively unscathed, and even with a pleasant surprise. Life never fails to throw us challenges and curveballs to keep us on our toes, from becoming too complacent in our every day lives.
Whilst the stressors that occurred in chez Wooding weren’t catastrophic – and I’m sure you’re enormously grateful for that – they were still stress, likely causing your adrenaline to spike, elevating your heart rate; increasing your blood pressure and cycle of breath; and activating your body’s fight or flight response. You would have been hyper alert; edgy; perhaps flustered. I know how I get when I’m hit by something unexpected.
Well done for getting through a challenging week, both Debbie and you. And what a lovely ‘reward’ at the end of it all.
You sound very calm about these problems, well done. I am less good at suffering fools gladly, and one has to deal with plenty of them.
