Some strange things happening as I weed my way

  1. Such a lovely thing to do, Ant; I applaud your neighbour’s and your efforts at keeping the twittens neat and tidy, whilst using a weed repellent that’s much more environmentally friendly. Good for the soul; good for the community. Shame on the people who have a blatant disregard for nature and a lack of pride for where they live – irrespective of whether or not they are local to that specific twitten.

It is a testament to the times, though, would you agree; there seems to be an increasing attitude of ‘I don’t care’, ‘I don’t have to’, and ‘I can do what I like.’. I often comment to my husband about the state of the verges on slip roads and motorways, covered in litter as they so often are. Sad in so many ways.

Do keep up the wonderful work, Ant. Though the odd individual may come along without thought nor care, making their ‘problem’ someone else’s, the majority will appreciate what you are doing. I certainly do.

  2. Yes, I remember twittens from your earlier podcast, as well as those small streams, whose name I forget. We will come to see them (and you and Debbie) before long. I think that drinkers of Guinness, including non-alcoholic, are more likely to be socially responsible than those who consume Red Bull, who are mainly under 30.
